MD DOCS for Linux — Getting Started
====================================

Thank you for downloading MD DOCS! This guide will help you
get the app running on Ubuntu and other Linux distributions.

QUICK START
-----------
1. Extract the ZIP file to any folder (e.g., your home directory)
2. Open a terminal in the extracted "MD DOCS-linux-x64" folder
(Right-click an empty area in the folder > "Open in Terminal")
3. Run the install script:

      bash install.sh

4. You're done! MD DOCS will appear in your application menu
with its icon. You can also run it directly:

      ./"MD DOCS"

WHAT DOES install.sh DO?
------------------------
The install script does two things:
  - Makes the "MD DOCS" file executable (required on Linux)
  - Creates a desktop shortcut so the app appears in your
application menu with the MD DOCS icon

RUNNING WITHOUT THE INSTALL SCRIPT
-----------------------------------
If you prefer not to run the script, you can do it manually:

   chmod +x "MD DOCS"
   ./"MD DOCS"

This runs the app but won't create an application menu entry.

SANDBOX ERRORS
--------------
If you see an error about sandboxing, try running with:

   ./"MD DOCS" --no-sandbox

This is common on some Linux configurations and is safe to use.

UNINSTALLING
------------
1. Delete the "MD DOCS-linux-x64" folder
2. Remove the desktop shortcut:

      rm ~/.local/share/applications/md-docs.desktop

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
-------------------
- Ubuntu 20.04+ or equivalent (Fedora, Arch, Mint, etc.)
- x86_64 (64-bit) processor
